STORYLINE

The movie opens with three college going boys, who take life as fun and thrill only. They get so swayed in the fun that they do not get to know , when they crossed the boundary line in between fun and folly. The comedy and fun of the movie takes a tragic turn when one of the friends gets killed. This deadly reality brings a change in the lives of the other two friends . Here the story takes a u turn and they get to fulfill their dead friends responsibilities . All these incidents present the truth of life and how and where we can go wrong and conveys the message how small follies can turn upside down into big blunders.

Review of Jatts in Golmaal

Comedy films, which are now a trend in Punjabi cinema seriously need to work a lot in their writing other than dialogues if they are to survive in the long run. The storyline of Jatts In Golmaal is pretty much like every other comedy film. Screenplay was well written and was equally complimented by the dialogues. This film serves you severe laughter doses. Dilaogues and screenplay were well written but the storyline is disappointing.

Very rarely have we see a film that can entertain a viewer despite of a poor storyline and average work by the director. This is what seems to have happened here. Kshitij Chaudhary who has directed the film hasn't done a satisfactory job here. A lot of the things could have been done in a better, to give the film a better look. Overall, a half-cooked job done by the director.

Jatinder Shah has directed the music and it is major letdown once again. He has once again failed to produce either a peppy dance number or a hummable romantic number. Jatt Bal Duga was a sole number which has a few merits. Other than this music is a complete disaster.

Arya Babbar, seen in a Punjabi film after two years has done a fair job and his acting has improved over the years. Sameksha Singh, after appearing in various movies down south and recently released Lucky Di Unlucky Story doesn't have much to do around in this all boys film, but still she looks pretty.

Binnu Dhillon is once again without any doubt the show-stealer. He along with Arya, Ghuggi and Bhalla carry the film on their shoulders. But Binnu showed his class once-again being the show stealer. Gurpreet Ghuggi, once again has done a good job bringing justice to his character. Jaswinder Bhalla was fantastic as always.

Others like Karamjit Anmol, Sardar Sohi and the rest of the cast were satisfactory. Veena Malik's item number was unwanted and was a jerk in the screenplay.

Final Say: Jatts In Golmaal has both - its own merits as well as demerits. Non-stop punches and good performances being a big merit and poor story, unpleasing music and average direction being the demerits. Overall, it's a clean comedy and is enjoyable.

Description:

Jatts in Golmaal is an out and out Punjabi comedy film releasing worldwide on the 24th May, 2013. The film is directed by Ksshitij Chaudhary and stars Aarya Babbar, Sameksha, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Binnu Dhillon, Jaswinder Bhalla, BN Sharma, Karamjit Anmol, Sardar Sohi, Harpreet Johal and many more. The story, screenplay and dialogues have been given by Naresh Kathooria (Carry on Jatta Fame). The music has been given by Jatinder Shah (Mirza, Jatt and Juliet, Singh v/s Kaur, Carry on Jatta fame) and the lyrics are by Raj Kakra and Veet Baljit. The film is releasing under the banner of HM Music and has been produced by Manmohan Singh Jandu, Harveen Singh, Harpreet singh, Jasbir Singh and co-produced by Lovely Group and Ranbir SIngh Atwal. 

The film portrays the story of the protagonist (Aarya Babbar) wanting to go to Canada by hook or crook and all the confusion and comedy of errors that evolves during his journey. The audience will see Jaswinder Bhalla playing a very interesting character which will take audience by surprise. Also, it will be a revelation to see Binnu Dhillon, Gurpreet Ghuggi and BN Sharma playing unique and funny characters. One can expect a guaranteed high quality humor from the Carry On Jatta team, which will force the audience to jump on their seats. The songs have been sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Mika, Sukhwinder Singh, Roshan Prince and Sunidhi Chauhan. Also, Veena Malik will be seen in a Punjabi song for the first time, which will surely be a treat for the eyes. The music is going to be the most lilting one in the recent times. 

This entire GOLMAAL will surely take the audience on an extremely funny joy ride, which has never been witnessed in the Punjabi cinema till date. The viewers have seen several GOLMAALs, but this is the first time that they will witness the Punjabi Golmaal. The movie is going to be a Paisa Vasool family entertainer.

REVIEW OF LUCKY DI UNLUCKY STORY :

Lucky Di Unlucky Story is a situational Comedy based on the lives of four freaks, Lucky (Gippy Grewal), Dimpa (Binnu Dhillon), Brar (Jaswinder Bhalla) and Sidhu  (Gurpret Ghuggi). Lucky is engaged to love of his life, Seerat (Surveen Chawla). But thanks to his past relations and unfortunate present, their relationship passes through difficult testing times and is on the verge of a break up. Lucky is desperate for Seerat and to get him over her, his friends try to help him, only to find themselves caught in a bigger trouble.

When it comes to Punjabi Comedies, no one is really bothered about the story of the movie. The only thing which matters is the volume of laughter it can tickle. But here we don’t just have laughter but some story too. It’s not just comedy but there also is a suspense element in the movie. The dialogues and the punches are the strongest plus point here.

Music of the movie is good but when you have the likes of Gippy Grewal in the house, your expectations are always high. A little bit more effort might have done the trick. But yes, it is a setback for the movie.

Smeep Kang had impressed everyone in Carry on Jatta and now he is back and this time too, he has done a great job. Action scenes in Punjabi movies are often out rated but here they are just perfect. He has worked out precisely on every minute detail and the result is an awesome movie. The shoot locations chosen by him are exotic and enthralling.

Gippy Grewal comes out as a solid actor in the movie. He not only tickles laughter but also rubs his hands on some goons in the action sequences perfectly. Binnu Dhillon, Jaswinder Bhalla and Gurpreet Ghuggi are the masters of comedy and they have done full justice to their roles. There awesome comical timing compels you to laugh your heart out. Surveen looks hot on screen. Her shots in the exotic locations of Thailand are mind mumbling. It’s not just her charming looks but her acting too is convincing.

This will be Jackie Shroff’s first Punjabi Movie. He had some 10 odd dialogues but he wasn’t that fluent in delivering them. Provided the chaotic situation of the movie, you won’t even bother much about it.

It’s not just the stars but you also find the director himself acting in the movie. Playing the role of Seerat’s elder brother, Smeep Kang is a delight to watch onscreen.

However the quadra of Gippy, Binnu, Bhalla and Ghuggi are the real lustre here.

Lucky Di Unlucky story is a movie which brings the moments of sheer laughter which you will enjoy irresistibly. The awesome comical timing makes you glued to the screen all the time. The movie is a great work by Director Smeep Kang and an equal promising work by the actors make it a must watch.

Synopsis:

Jatt and Juliet 2 tells the romantic as well as funny tale of 2 Police Officers, Shapata Fateh Singh played by Diljit and Shapatan Neeru Bajwa. Fateh, a Punjab Police officer is sent on a secret mission to Canada and there he ends up working with Pooja, a cop from Vancouver police department.
